April 9-11, 2025, Erlangen, Germany

WELCOME

It is a pleasure for the entire Research Training Group 2740 to invite you to the 2nd International “Immunomicrotope” Symposium at the Institute of Clinical Microbiology, Immunology and Hygiene of the Friedrich-Alexander University (FAU) Erlangen-Nürnberg and the University Hospital Erlangen from April 9-11, 2025!

MAIN TOPICS

  • Imaging of the immunomicrotope
  • Single cell RNAseq analyses in infectious disease immunology
  • Epigenetics and infection
  • Immunometabolism in infections
  • Immune cell migration and tissue repair
  • Myeloid cells and T lymphocytes as immunoregulators
  • Mucosal and intestinal immunology
  • Human infection models, organs-on-the-chip and systems immunology
  • Pathogen metabolism and microbial modulation of immune responses

  • Fernanda Novais, Ohio (USA)
  • Franziska Faber, Würzburg (Germany)
  • Gerald Späth, Paris (France)
  • Gordon Brown, Exeter (UK)

A separate poster session will be restricted to the PhD and medical students of the RTG 2740.

The goal of the meeting is to stimulate the scientific exchange on the micromilieu, metabolic and microbial factors that form the immmunomicrotope during infections.

The conference is an ideal forum for younger scientists to establish networks and to look for possible career options in the area of infectious disease immunology. The meeting will feature cutting-edge research by international leaders in the field. There will be many opportunities for personal interactions between all participants of the meeting.
